Reinstall damaged or freshly maintained tower using jacking screws for leveling and installation of the tower baseplate to the ships deck using Chockfast Gray load-bearing chocking compound. Epoxy compound insulates tower from ships deck and helps prevent corrosion under baseplate with 100% fitment.
Problem: Simplify the reinstallation procedure of “Replenishment at Sea” loading towers for Naval vessels. MST was involved in the prototype landside design concepts before
installation shipboard.
Solution: Mount the structural tower utilizing a pour-in-place method of a two component epoxy chocking compound. Eliminated the timely and costly deck machining process for a damaged tower. Simplified general maintenance procedures allowing removal and replacement.
